I've read some Hellblazer Comics especially the Vertigo versions to know how nerfed and horribly written john is in DCU. His writing in those Animations are the same always, for example in almost every animation he's in he's fighting Demons or the same galactic monster. Constantine in the comics has more depths to his arc, he serves an endless, he legit sleeps with and jukes the devil himself, AND he sells his soul to 3 demons so that it is not collected by others. John in the comics makes sacrifices for his own arrogant and selfish reasons and that's what the DCU version is missing. In the DCU version others like Zanntana make sacrifices for John, the fact that a female has to sacrificed and get nerfed for John's arc is ngl pathetic. And tbh that whole Dark apokolips movie is horrible in general, no way on God's green earth would John join the justice league for Zatanna A WOMAN WHO IS MORE POWERFUL THAN HIM IN THE COMICS AND FOR SOME REASON THEY'RE DATING IN THAT MOVIE. Like hello what was going on in the writers mind thinking "yes this is such a good plot twist and arc" you stupid mf do you have brain damage? My guy John is a victim to poor writing
