DEV LOG 1/14/25

today i mostly worked on visual upgrades, adding some new textures and refining post processing effects. i also completely reprogrammed how the flashlight works which will make it WAY easier to implement animatronic behavior in the future. furthermore, i made a several-pages-long document outlining exactly how each character's AI works! this time around, i'm focusing more on the backend of things then the visuals; i would rather have a playable game first, then polish and refine it.

i probably won't make a dev log every day, but just whenever i feel i have made substantial enough progress! i look forward to continue developing this game, and keeping you all updated as i do :)

words cannot explain how difficult it was to get these damn switches to work. everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. but, several hours later, i got it to work!!!!

THANKS FOR 700!!!!! Here's some stuff!

i lied, the ladder was easy to model

i also fixed the visual distortion caused by the panorama filter, it looks way better now

my whole philosophy with the "office" is: how can i make the player feel claustrophobic AND exposed at the same time? the answer to this is: lots and lots of clutter

Everything we know about Five Nights at Candy's 4

you can now turn around! there will be a few very vital tasks that must be performed on the wall behind you, but of course this does require turning your back on any possible threats...
