Hey All,
We’ve had a hectic 2 months writing up business documents and also working on a version 3.0 of the Mask of Semblance game demo. Since the end of the summer, we have been working on some awesome new animations, new enemies, better AI, better game interactions, story, our forwards and backwards playability mechanic, and implementing your feedback, among many other things.

Here’s a list of some significant changes and ongoing events that we want to share with you:
We got into MagFest, a huge Indie Music and Game Festival in National Harbor, Maryland, where we hope to really get our name out there! In addition, we will be showing our version 3.0 of the demo there!
We brought on another artist, Gordon Neill, to help us with art. This has greatly helped with the delivery of art assets before the festival.
We implemented a 3-hit combo attack that more appropriately indicates the attack hitbox and makes the combat a lot more fun and intense. This took very long because we have 20 frames per direction and we have 8 directions in total.
We designed a new rock golem enemy and named him Grom. He will be a bit tougher than the spriggits.
We created a tech area version of the demo. More info on 3.0 release day.
We added many new particle effects and visual enhancements.
We have been looking for potential publishers and gathering our necessary documents to approach them.
We’re really excited to release all of the awesome new things we’ve been working on, but after MagFest, we will be going back and polishing up 3.0 to include some more features. We hope you had a wonderful holiday so far and look forward to hearing what you all think about our new content!
If you’re going to MagFest or know of someone who might be going, have them stop by our booth. We’ll have some really cool FREE stuff to give out!
Thanks,
MoS Dev Team
