Development is Going Somewhere

Going Nowhere: The Dream is in the process of being polished. The main story path is finished, and since the last update, all new art has been added, all the music is in, a ton of new sounds were added, the levels are fleshed out, the UI is in working condition, and the game is playable in a near final state.

What’s been taking so long and why haven’t there been many updates? A lot of the smaller details have been getting worked on. It was pretty easy to put the biggest parts of the game together, but now what’s left is all of the tiny, almost invisible details that make the game more interesting and less buggy.

Also, a lot of secrets have been being added. We’re trying to keep the secrets in scope so that we can still have a lot of secrets, and some really, really interesting secrets. We wanted secrets to be a huge part of the game for those who take the time to look for them from the beginning, but we also don’t want to hold back the development of the game because of them.

As you can imagine, writing blog posts about numerous minor changes and super secret hidden content isn’t easy, but we are planning to get this game put through Steam Direct very soon. Once Going Nowhere: The Dream appears on Steam we will be sure to let everyone know. When will that be? PROBABLY at the tail end of 2017. Hopefully sooner. I don’t want to make any promises and compromise the integrity of the game, but I will keep you all up to date.

Lastly, there is still time for testing. Anyone who wants to play the game before the final version is welcome to join the Discord. We are specifically looking for people willing to record video for us.
