Development Update (10-20)


Hello, everyone!! I hope you're getting spooked this month, because this update's probably gonna be wild.


So for that, I will say that Part 4 is 80% done quickly, but the thinking of the soundtrack for it is very hard currently. So I would be able to turn that black blob a real thing.

Just like what I said last random devlog, it's difficult for me to develop locations like bars, restaurants, etc., but they do take time to work on.

So far, I never felt any pain with my arm or some sort, because I'm taking frequent short breaks for it. So you don't need to be concerned, as I am still working on the game overtime. If I'm not working on it at the moment, I'm either updating my other projects/works or taking a short break and rest for my arms.


The next one is regarding Chapter 3's events.

Since Chapter 3 is the finale of THEOPHOBIA and the prequel of HYDOPHOBIA, I plan it to be very huge and longer than others. Once I finish all of those chapters, The package will be formed with every chapter and its English and Japanese variants. Sounds like tough luck, I know.

Regardless, Chapter 3 will have 2 times the parts that Chapters 2 and 1 will be having, as I said this will be longer.


Although, speaking of Part 4, I may already finish it within less than a few months quick. No idea about Part 5, but hopefully this will be enough time for me to sleep when I get done with Chapter 2 before proceeding to work on Chapter 1 Remastered.


Next thing I want to talk about is THEOPHOBIA being available for other platforms.

Itch.io

I think it's possible for THEOPHOBIA being on its way to Itch.io. But the thing is, I do not know its publish system. GameJolt lets you immediately publish it, which is cool. But I'm still curious on what Itch.io will be like for its publishing system.

ROBLOX

Unfortunately, due to ROBLOX's community guidelines/rules/TOS, THEOPHOBIA will not be on ROBLOX as a remade build- but kid-friendly. This would be risky if it releases to a platform that is a bit or not strict with its TOS or rules.

Steam

I feel like it's impossible to release THEOPHOBIA to Steam at all, if I could find a way to release it without any problems, then it'll be out on Steam, do not worry, if that ever happens, it will not be paid, but you can download it for free if it exists. If there's a fake one, let me know.

Maybe you can use your Steam Library?

NEWGROUNDS

Ever since I joined that platform several months ago, releasing 2 projects of mine, I don't think THEOPHOBIA will be on Newgrounds. Due to it using separated projects for 1 folder, it's never going to be out on Newgrounds. If I gave you a "link" showing THEOPHOBIA on Newgrounds, I will reveal what it really was. It's a rick roll.


Regarding Console Explanation

I can think of something like that you can maybe use a software called JoyToKey? Then you can assign controls on your console controller? Perhaps that could work, right? I never tried it at all either, but that works, maybe?
