Heya.

Happy new year, everyone

Golly, do I have an update for you!

Where the heck is the game?!

So, I figure I should start with this question, as much as I would like to avoid it entirely.

The truth is... well, I think this meme sums it up pretty well.

Yeah. Not great. Phase 3 is still in planning phase. But I'm wrapping up with planning.. and actually doing. Thank you all for being patient so far, I hope to see you stick around a little bit longer!

As for an official release date... I wanna say late 2023-early 2024, but you never know. It could come later. It could come earlier.

The Overhaul

So... I bet you're wondering what the heck the title of this devlog means. To put it simply... A LOT of changes to Phase 1 & 2. I don't wanna say too much, but here's some of the main changes:

Phase 1 will be a lot longer & harder
Phase 2 will be shortened. A lot. Just think of it like phase 1.5 lol
- Due to Phase 2 being shorter, the gray SOUL mechanic will be introduced in Phase 1.

Plans for Phase 3

Alright, I think it's been kept silent long enough. It's time to talk about Phase 3.

Here's some of the things I've got lined up for ya so far...

Full GJ API support (Trophies, Save Data, Leaderboards, etc.)
At least a dozen SOUL colors - all I'll say is that you might need your mouse ;)
Mechanics you wouldn't expect from a Scratch game - I'm moving production to Turbowarp, and I'll have access to unsandboxed extensions. If you have no idea what I'm talking about... You'll see ;)
Secrets galore... something to do with The Cherry Man?
An actual intro + overworld before Phase 1 - You will now be able to kill Sans. You're welcome.
The use of the unused track from Undertale, "Star".
