WELCOME TO THE FIRST DEVLOG FOR Children of the Piper, a brand new crime-solving horror game coming to Scratch later this year!
Gameplay:
The game acts similar to the board game "Clue", where you have to search different locations, solve puzzles, and collect important pieces of evidence. Check everything, as you never know what can be moved or broken. When the investigation is done, you can return to the headquarters and do research, travel to new locations, and even talk to witnesses. It's up to YOU to solve the mystery.
Artwork:
The game has a certain artstyle that is hard to describe. It's very "cartoonish" while also being in my typical modeling style. Below are some images of the locations in the game; the bedroom and closet.

These may change in the near future, so stay tuned for that.
Enemies:
Let's transition to the enemies of the game. The main antagonist is The Pied Piper, an urban legend known for kidnapping children with it's wonderful song.

The Pied Piper is inspired by the story told by Robert Browning, and has the unique ability to control mice, and on the rare occasion, children.
Designing the Pied Piper:
I took inspiration from a rat's skull for the head, since it is related to rats.. duh..
The rest of the body was designed as a human skeleton, with a skeleton-like rat tail.
Thank you for taking the time to read this devlog, see you again soon!
