Devlog 1: Difficulty, Difficulty (robot edition)

As my game is a party game, some people may not have some friends to play a tennis game with them.

So, I added an AI. I did that a while ago. Now, I have added some difficulty choices (as it was too easy for me lmao)

My main goal with the AI in the game was to make each difficulty level naturally difficult.

I didn't want to buff speed or strengthen their shots, or anything like that. Because, here's the thing, players who are better at the game don't get speed boosts, or they produce more powerful shots. The only way that would be possible is with cheats or doping.

Here are some of the stats if that interests you!

  • Max seconds until the AI activates: The max amount of time until the AI activates their powerup. Easy: 30, Normal: 15, Hard: 5

  • Minimum Powerup Time: The max amount of time until the AI activates their powerup. Easy: 30, Normal: 15, Hard: 5

  • Minimum miss threshold: The threshold of strength that'll trigger a random chance for the AI to miss. Easy: Slice, Normal: Normal Shot, Hard: Lob

  • Miss chance: If the RNG number for the miss is equal or less to this number, the AI will miss. Easy: 6, Normal: 3, Hard: 1

  • Powershot chance: If the RNG number for the powershot is equal or less to this number, the AI will begin charging their powershot. Easy: 5, Normal: 7, Hard: 10

  • Ultimate Death Chance: If the RNG number for the ultimate block is equal or less to this number, the AI will miss.

Those are practically all of the values. Yeah.

Not much else is happening, I just added powerups, and fixed bugs. Not much.
