Greetings, everyone and welcome to the first devlog of Shattered Voice. In this devlog, we'll be talking about the basis of this upcoming game, a new character to meet, and a neat special tool we been cooking up behind the scenes.
The basics
Shattered Voice is a retro-styled role-playing game with battles, dialogs, worlds, and ducks! The game presents itself in multiple linked chapters all consisting of different characters and mechanics.
However, the game's retro-style won't stop the game from having modern gameplay...
New character: Abel
Abel is the main protagonist of the first part of the game. Being very care-free and clumsy, Abel just moved in and started making friends, however, enemies as well. His main goal is to find part-time jobs to make pocket money, like (almost) every teenager.

Shattered Engine
Shattered Engine is the main game engine the team is using, developed by @Linuxydable .
This engine is built with portability, power, and compatibility in mind! The engine is completely open-source and licensed with the MIT License, allowing it to be used for any purpose. Just be sure to leave any form of credit for the engine (as per the MIT License)!

Here is an early footage of what the engine could already accomplish, can you count all the Ethans?
Progress
We'd like to thank everyone who followed the project before and after this devlog, it really means a lot to us!
The game is currently in a prototyping phase where we gather assets while also working on gameplay and the engine itself.
