DEVLOG 1: We're live!

Welcome to Tropia.

This game started as a place for our programmer to experiment on puzzles and features for our game Evobeasts, and then evolved into its own project that some of our members played around with while waiting on art from our pixel artist. Ahem. Hurry up with that pixel art already, JOSH!

The idea behind Tropia was to make something that would have fit right along side the old NES games like the early Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games, and we feel we’ve accomplished that.

This is a turn based game about 4 heroes in search of magical keys needed to defeat a demon and save a princess. Seriously.

As the name hints at, it’s all of the tropes from the NES age wrapped into one. If you’re searching for a deep, meaningful story, this might not be for you. But, if you just want a good old fashion JRPG romp across a fantasy world, this will definitely fit the bill. There are puzzles, hidden dungeons, super bosses, and much more to explore.

We hope you enjoy playing this as much as we enjoyed making it.

DEVLOG 4: Try Our Demo Worried about that steep $1 price tag? Try out our Tropia Demo. It goes up through the first boss in the game. It probably won’t take too long to beat, but it’ll give you a taste for what the rest of the game is all about.

Some banner art to use in the nearly completed Distropia.
