Devlog #2 27/06/2024


We're Back!

2nd Devlog Time. Development has been slow the past 2 months because of our exams and transitioning into University aswell as the biggest reason the drop of Elden Ring DLC a week ago, but We have been working on it for a while and have some stuff to show off.

The Numbers (DEMO)

Story: 40%

SpriteWork: 30%

Undertale Engine: 75%

OST: 7%

Our Numbers mightve been slightly exaggerated for story last devlog but these ones should be more accurate.Our UT Engine that weve been building has hit a wall because of considering Godot 4.3 but is almost done and requires a few features and bug fixing and testing the existent ones.

ART and Characters

We have a few Artworks to show off but first lets introduce our 2 new characters into the cast.

FIrst Up Introducing Dummy! One of the very few returning characters reappears in a new light!

Dummy is going to be one of the small amount of returning characters we are planning to add from the original game and is going to be your companion on this journey.

Solstice our Esteemed Lovely Axolotl Lady,and her magnificence that graces the Ruins.

Music

The Status of our OST is going to be given by our Lead Musician:

"We're currently working on remixing the themes for the menu's and existing areas and making new themes for new places and characters, none of us except @iamstallion actually have any music knowledge so learning how to make music that sounds good is a bit of a struggle but with the help of youtube tutorials, we're starting to make music we're proud of."

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
