DEVLOG 2 FOR A WEEK AT LEMONS

What has happened in Breadhead's life?

So what have I been doing this past month?? Well a whole lot of nothing and everything at the same time!

For the first half of this month progress was really slow, but Christmas break came along and I locked in. For christmas, I got this PC setup and i upgraded from a slow chromebook to a mediocre windows!! (i love it so much but its just our internet, its wifi-4).

So anyways imma share some progress I made with yall


New Game cutscene! (for the demo)

Since the demo is gonna be different that the original game (story-wise) I thought it would be nice to give some backstory into the two days that Karl was the nightgaurd.

So this cutscene just shows him crashing into the parking lot and starting his shift!


Grape AI complete!

I got bored one day and decided to code Grapes ai, since he was the only one I had absolutely 0 progress for. It only took about 2 days, one for making the costumes and another for coding him, pretty simple!

He has a new mechanic which you need to hold the flashlight on him until he leaves, just thought it would bring some tenseness into the night because you're standing still while other animatronics need tending to. Also, I didn't want your shocker to be drained by him constantly needing to be shocked. ALSO also, his mechanic is a metaphor for the fact he has and doesn't want any light in his life.

What needs to be done?

For the demo to be done I need some extra stuff to be complete

  • 2 cutscenes need to be animated (one for the end of night 1 and another for the end of night 2

  • Apple gives you an exclusive item at the end of your 1st shift that you can try out in night 2. it has not been added yet.

  • Credits and other polish needs to be done

That's about it! I probably wont be able to get the demo out this month, but if I keep a consistent development cycle for the second half of the break I should be able to get pretty close!


Why should I play the demo?

Well for one I want y'all to have something until the full game releases, but for another, this demo should be worth playing even after the full game releases! It's got some exclusive trophies and that prize apple was talking about, you can only get it from that demo, so its worth collecting!

Got a new PC! Development should be smooth sailing (should be sailing really smooth because this runs so much better than the chromebook)

Hey ya'll sorry for lack of updates! Fall break has ended and i've just been busy with school. im gonna try to find a way to get turbowarp on my school computer that was i can work on lemons there

Finished the settings menu, gonna work on a new background soon (difficulty button will have faces soon)

Next week will be the final week of school. I'm doubling down for the Christmas break, I can assure that awal demo might be released in-between then. maybe. idk
