First off, just wanted to thank everyone for all of the interest you’ve shown in our project.
Today we wanted to go over some questions/comments we saw in the comments section.
Demo
We’ve gotten a lot of interest in seeing a playable version of the game, and we definitely want to get one out to you all. This weekend we’re doing a final play through of our demo to make sure it’s ready to begin sharing. Short of us finding something game breaking, we’ll start rolling keys out.
On Saturday afternoon we’ll put 5 keys up here and 5 on Twitter:
twitter.com/streetgaminginc
Over the next week or two, we’ll continue to release a handful of keys at a time. We settled on this method so we can fix things up as they come along, release the newest version that night, and then get a few new testers to test it out with a fresh set of eyes.
Be sure to follow us here and on our Twitter page to pick up a key.
Art
Our art is done in a two step process. Bran, our concept artist does up a pencil drawing of a character,
then Josh pixelifies it,
and then creates the smaller scale art assets.
All of the pixel art is done in Gamemaker: Studio’s built in drawing program. It’s a pretty bare bones program, but it gets the job done.
Where We Are and Where We’re Headed
We’ve got about 90% of the engine and 20% of the story done at this point. The full game will be a solid 20 hours of main story game play (the demo has the first hour) with plenty of post game content.
We expect to have a first draft (if you will) of the game finished by the third quarter of 2017 and then spend as much time as it takes to finish polishing the game. We’re hoping the game will be ready for release by mid 2018.
Pricing
We haven’t settled on a price for the game yet, but the game won’t be free. Sorry :) That being said, if you have any opinions on a fair price based on what you’ve seen, feel free to share.
Thanks again for all of the follows. Feel free to ask us any questions about the game in the comments and we look forward to sharing the demo with you this weekend.
