Hello everyone, its been a while huh? Since this AU completes 1 year of existence today, i think its valid to show what we've done in this meantime! Also please read till the end-

New page update
After a lot of time the gamepage Finally received the update it deserved. This time to show better the new game direction and credit the correct people. Later on it will receive new art aswell, so keep an eye on the next posts.

Speaking of new members...
In the meantime the omega team has grown a lot, so i think its fair to introduce you to the newest team members:

Game progress
Yea, you heard that right! After 1 whole year this game's progress has finally begun! Im really excited to show y'all what we're doing, so im gonna show some clips of the most important things that will be in the demo.
Flowey encounter: Overworld and intro attack
All of this is up to changes, but it will most likelly remain the same, appart from the ruins tileset.
Sprites by me, music by cass, coding by shiro, me, DieGGPro and La Killa.
Snowdin encounter
Finally, our first snowdin encounter fight reveal.
This is just a small percentage of what the fight will have, keep in mind that there are some things that were hidden, and I hope we can show y'all soon.
Sprites
As noticed, the sprites got some small improvements, and some new others are being made. Im gonna point out what were these changes now
Flowey encounter: buttons update

The buttons got a new sprite edit to fit more the game style, and I personally think it was a good change.
Snowdin encounter: Sans sprite update
After some time, I decided to give Snowdin Encounter a final sprite update to fit the game's new direction. The differences, even if small, helped on finishing the spritesheet and making the game look cleaner, take a look:


Some other sprites are being made aswell. I don't want to spoil much but be prepared for peak.

Writing progress
Writing Omega was... Complicated so far (Mostly because of my lazyness lol). But after some time, specially with the help of Stress, Tranex and Cheese (a contributor, thanks dud) making the lore solid was a lot easier. I don't wanna spoil much but since some things really changed I think its valid to show off some things:

Music progress - Flowey Encounter Release
By the time you're reading this, the newest Dusttale Omega track, the one heard in the flowey encounter wip, is being produced. Expect the full release soon, so keep an eye in the news!

Conclusion + QnA
To end this devlog, Im gonna be awnsering a brief QnA off the last post.

A: Up to 6. Each chapter will have at least one encounter, but keep in mind only 2 of them are vs sans.

A: Yes. I don't want to spoil much but here goes a hint:
Keep in mind one mechanic was hidden in this devlog.

A: That's something I can't exacly tell to avoid spoilers. What I can say is that some parts of the game are planned have a different approach in the soundtrack than y'all expect for a dust sans final encounter. If this will be scrapped or not, or what i mean by "different approach", we all gonna see in the future.

A: I think that working on this game was the greatest thing that i could've done. I met some great friends, learned a lot of things and faced some challenges that made me learn how to manage a team. It is stressing, but fun at the same time. I am probably gonna have a small break on this game to finish my other things, and i feel very tired both phisically and psychologically, but im certain that once i get a break everything will be fine.
