Devlog #4 - Progress with models, areas and previews [Spoilers]


Lately I've been focusing on one massively anticipated part of the game, which involves a new area: during these past 2 weeks I was with my 3D software setting that massive place up.

Textures, meshes, lights, animations... It's a huge mess haha

Progress has been going really well, but there's still a lot to do. Here are a few previews from the scene

I've set up some camera angles for the devlog, but you'll have pretty much the same graphics in the game, with most likely some additional topping up and refining.

This will be the only content I'll be showcasing publicly, the rest would be spoilers. Not to mention these are already pretty spoiler-y .-.

But hey I promised you I'd be showing stuff!

I will need to model a second area though, but which hopefully will take less time to create. The epic dude @heavenly-roads accepted to help me build it, so that I can focus on other important parts and finish what's left to do with the previous area. That will save me tons of time

As of what's to come next, first of all, I'll take a few days off to chill. I've been really pushing myself forward, which is obviously cool, because "progress"! But ye I really feel I need to take a short break haha. I'd like to focus on making artworks, because it's been such a long time since I've drawn something, and I'd like to take advantage of my free time to improve my so-so skills.

Then, it'll be time to add a few props here and there and fill the room in with some nice posters I got from fan artists!

I've made an export of the drums only, and I've inverted the phases to kick out the drum track entirely from the song...

This stuff GOES FUCKING HARD (0:16)!! I will add this to the ending
