One of the major things we’ve been working on over the past few weeks is side quests. Bran has been coming up with the quests, Josh has been implementing, and Loghan has been doing his music thing. While many of these quests won’t be available until the final game, several will be making their way into the demo in the next couple of weeks.
QUESTING
Don’t get us wrong. We love the good old days of RPGs where you have to talk to everyone and check everything lest you miss the mcguffin needed to get the best stuff, and it only shows up in the first quarter of the game. However, Evobeasts is not one of those games. We’ve made locating side quests nice and easy.
Just look for the NPCs with a star above their head.
But what if you forget to start a quest before leaving an area? Don’t worry. There’s not a quest in the game that you can’t come back and do later. We want people to be able to play the game at their own pace and sometimes that pace changes as the game goes long. Maybe you start off just wanting to move the plot along, but twenty hours later you decide you want to be a completionist. In Evobeasts, you can do that.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
We’ve got tons of fun rewards planned out, but here are a few.
-Evobeasts that wouldn’t normally be available until later on in the game.
-Unique equips
-GOLD!
-Good old fashion character developing cut scenes
-Unlock more side quests
That’s all for this Devlog. Happy questing!
