Welcome to DUSTTRUST '20, a faithful recreation and completion of 3 specific points in Dusttrust's development! I started this back in late-2021 as a rebellion to Kasssm's former direction of the AU, however it's gone from spite to faithful motivation.
Shall we see what the team's been up to?
Part 1: The Plan
Yes, I mentioned 3 specific points in the AU development cycle, but what points exactly? I'll answer that for you! We'll call these: Generations.
First we have the early Pre-Leak, (labelled as Generation 1) the one with the Sharfa sprites. If you need a quick mind refresher, an image has been provided below to get you back up to speed!

That's right, this one. Oh boy.
Next one we have is the late Pre-Leak, (labelled as Generation 2) the one with the more acknowledged (and traced) Oppolastic/December sprites!
...Oh my god do you need me to show you another image?

This one if you live under a rock.
Last but not least, one we've considered for a very long time.
As you may know, several months ago DillyWolf's rendition of Dusttrust (which is official to the AU) was unfortunately cancelled, leaving the community and taking ownership with her.
Originally Generation 3 was supposed to be a recreation of Ari's Dusttrust remake pre-Thanatos, and then it became a recreation of legacy Thanatos after the birth of Dusttrust X... but afterwards? There weren't a lot of ideas.
But after DillyWolf took Dusttrust with her, we finally had the perfect idea.
Generation 3 is the canon Dusttrust, based on what we can piece together from clips of footage as we are lacking in a lore document/story document. (We are, however, aware it exists.)

Unfortunately, none of these are shots from the actual Dusttrust '20... but we do have some progress!
Part 2: Actual progress.
We finally made the decision to switch to Godot after several years of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 development, however the search for a suitable Undertale engine was never-ending. This is what led to radio silence for so long (and we apologize) until now.
Dusttrust '20 uses an extremely modified iteration of the Soldier engine, provided by @SoldierCantKill , (rest in peace) and after some weary debugging I finally have a working engine for this game! (and possibly many more.)
So far I have been focusing on my favorite of the generations, Generation 2! Phase 1 is complete, with the last detail having been recreated. I'd say a demo would be suitable over the coming months, featuring the Phase 1-2 from both Generation 1 and 2.
(Sprites by the amazing @Anime_LoverYT .)

"Did you just show off everything you've done?" Yep! Not that I'd have anything to hide because...well. It's all recreated from actual media. If anything, most progress until Phase 3/4 is just a port of Generation 1 and 2 from Clickteam to Godot.
"Puar, isn't this technically a form of plagarism? You're just reusing attacks from the original eras-" Shush. The point of this game is to recreate and complete these eras, not reinvent them. DT: DX is what you're looking for if you want a reinvention of Pre-Leak.
Part 3: So what needs to be done?
Good question. So far, we have the following to recreate:
-- GEN 1&2 --
* INTRO
* CREDITS SEQUENCE
-- GENERATION 1 --
* MENU
* PHASE 1
* PHASE 2
* PHASE 3
-- GENERATION 2 --
* MENU
* PHASE 2
* HALF OF PHASE 3
* THE INTRO TO PHASE 4
-- GENERATION 3 --
* INTRO
* MENU
* PSYCHOSIS' INTRO AND FIRST ATTACK.
* THE ATTACKS FROM THE TRAILER OF FINALITY (though split apart)
* THE INTRO TO POST MORTEM
Anything that isn't the whole portion of the game will be improvised after.
Part 4: Conclusion.
Sorry for the radio silence for so long, I hope I made it up with this devlog! I'd expect a demo somewhere either a little before the end of this year or a little after next year begins. No promises, though!
(Thanks for taking Dusttrust with you, Dilly. /s)
