Devlog Quickies 9: Brand New Artwork, with some changes to the banner itself + Bit of coding done for testing purposes (with small prototype footage included in GIF form)


Ah here we go, and welcome back to the ninth installment of Devlog Quickies, where I would share some bits and pieces for my game.

And today, I have some new stuff that I have been busy behind the scenes with making brand new artwork for the game that I am gonna get to right now!

So... here is the brand new artwork!

And it also applies on the gamejolt page itself (as you can see on the banner and the game thumbnail)

Also, we can now finally get to the juicy stuff, yesterday I finally got to code a small bit on the game, and the one I focused on is the player object itself (the gif you are seeing is sped up because I have to change the speed of the gif itself because the one I tested was a bit slow, so that I can change up the speed on the code later on)

So yeah, what you are seeing right now has a red block as the test player, in an empty black room with only a purple platform, so go me, I guess lol

So i can safely say, the game is now finally in early development, this game is basically my passion project that I have been doing since 2017, and I absolutely cannot wait to get this thing started

I have made these drawings for my game that shows my character's Johnathan and his rival, Gerry.

And I will make more of these types of artwork very soon!

It's been like a month since I haven't posted anything at all, well... I'm back and I have some brand new stuff that I am gonna show off very soon, like this new test footage on the revamped sprite's on Johnathan + room transitions.
