I have just watched 2 Episodes in the last 2 Hours or so, and here is my current review and hopefully a review I agree with going forward.
PILOT
The Pilot for any show does many things, introduce you to the world, the characters, their motives, and DEXTER excells at those very things, but also something I don't find myself saying all too often; THE WRITING.
NEVER in any show or film, have I actively said that the writing is well made, atleast not while actively watching said show. But DEXTER has broken that barrier, and it's writing seems top tier in anything I've ever seen.
The details.
The backstories.
How the characters interact.
And GOD the acting.
It's phenomenal how much an actor can really boost a role.
And I hope to see more of that in the future episodes.
CROCODILE
The second episode always has one job, and onr job only; Continue the art of the PILOT without changing the effect it had on people, and boy does CROCODILE deliver.
Every little thing seems flawless, down to the last minute details.
If there was a singular show capable of dethroning GRAVITY FALLS, it's be DEXTER, but it still has a long ways to go before it can accomplish that.
CROCODILE feels like it takes the world of the PILOT and expands it seamlessly, if not better than the PILOT had done.
The Shots, the Soundtrack, the Character Dynamics. Perfect, couldn't list a single flaw.
And I hope it stays that way.
Such a shame that I won't be able to watch it all before it leaves NETFLIX on the 30th.
STOP REMOVING YOUR GOOD MATERIAL NETFLIX
I BEG YOU
PLEASE
