does anyone know what Vamps means?


so the reason why i ask is because i used that as a name for a Vampire character sens that is what i like to call vampires, it just sounds silly to me to call them vamps, but both times it told be that vamps is a bad word, so i googled it and didn't really understand what google was trying to tell me sens like allways is uses even more words i don't know the meaning of to explane it, as well as talking about a band...

so if anyone could tell me what it means it be lovely
