Dreams are interesting things.
We'll likely never truly understand the nature of dreams.
Regardless, they can lead to interesting things.
DELTARUNE, the result of a fever dream experienced by its creator.
KK!FellSwap, too, born of a dream.
KK!FellSwap was born of a dream of the beginning.
DELTARUNE was born of a dream of the end.
Opposites, yet so alike.
...
Anyways I'm gonna talk about the dream that inspired KK!FellSwap today.
So one time back when I first discovered the FellSwap AU, I looked into it a ton, looking for fangames.
I found few to none.
Then, a couple weeks later, I had a dream about what, in my dream, was clearly the first few minutes of a FellSwap fangame (although after thinking about it, it was more similar to Underswap than FellSwap).
I can't remember much other than the Temmie encounter, and even then, I remember few specifics.
I remember that you would walk down a hall, entering an encounter every few steps, similar to New Home in Undertale.
You would get dialogue, and, just like in New Home, Temmie would begin to get nervous towards the end.
Ultimately, the final encounter would end with Temmie running away (it was basically identical to the scene when you SPARE Flowey at the end of the Neutral route in Undertale).
Each time you reloaded, Temmie would get more nervous in their dialogue, and there would be less encounters before they fled.
After about 3 reloads, Temmie would immediately flee after the first encounter, with no dialogue other than "..." with Flowey's side eye expression.
In order to befriend Temmie, you had to... press space to sit down, for some reason.
The dream didn't go on much longer before I woke up.
Obviously, KK!FellSwap's Temmie encounter will resemble this initial dream very little, with really the only similarity being the long hall, but even then, the hall leads in a different direction, and the hall just leads into the encounter room, rather than BEING the encounter room.
But ultimately, this dream pushed me to begin work on a FellSwap fangame, which ended up being KK!FellSwap.
Just thought that was interesting.
Welp, until next time, have a good one!
