Hello everyone! Its been a while, and a lot of things have happened on the past months, so I'm here to give y'all a quick update on everything you missed.

Early 2026 recap
Over the past months the dev team have worked on a plenty of things, including:
-over 6-7 attacks for snowdin encounter (chapter 2 act 0)
-2 new attacks for flowey encounter (chapter 1)
-3 new wips for upcoming music (none of them are public yet)
-a lot of bugs that were not fixed
-10 scrapped banner arts and little to no thumbnail progress
-2 dev team slander videos
-11 hardmode sprites
-a total of 22 lines of dialogue for all game
Looking back at it we noticed we weren't enjoying working with an omega game anymore, and thats how we came up with:

after all that time we decided that the best solution possible was to turn dusttale omega into its own comic, doesn't it sound fantastic?
The comic will be divided in 3 parts:
-prologue: aprox. 2 chapters
-dusttale omega: aprox 30 chapters
-dusttale abyss(omega au): 475 chapters
Over the chapters, you will see exacly what you see on other dusttale aus, but on a comic format! We are even gonna copy canon dusttale on part 3 so it gets closer to what the fans like!
And don't worry, omega comic will have it's own soundcloud page with a lot of ost (and obviously most of them will be references to other takes'
)
And if you got hyped for a game or wanted it to atleast have the encounters playable, bad news for you, because all game progress is now scrapped
Why scrapping the game?
Simply because we couldn't find a way to make final encounter. As you can see here, clickteam is too limited to make what we were aiming for, and everytime we came up with an attack idea it was basically impossible to code.
Skill issue? Nahhhh, the engine simply couldn't handle peakness.

Final notes
I hope you liked this totally serious devlog, and i'm sure yall will love the omega comic idea as much as i do. And for you people that are unhappy with that decision, i dont fucking care. With that being said, see yall on the next devlog
