South Park 64 Remake [Prototypes]

EP (early prototype) 0.8.0 should release by the end of the work week.

EP0.8.0 details below...

0.8.0 will be significantly larger than previous public versions since every single track from the PC, PlayStation and Nintendo 64 versions will be present so be sure to save around 300-800 MB for this upcoming build. The large size gap is for compression and how our version of the engine handles .OGG files.

Controller support will be completely updated in the game, making these updates specifically for the Steam Deck. Menu controls for controller should be near completion and camera controls should work now as previously the camera was only meant for mouse and I haven't got any feedback whether controller camera works or not so I will have to completely rewrite player look controls.

Game, Audio and Input settings are also being tested here, so you can configure these. Video settings and configs are a little complex so there will be only a few options to change. The video settings that will be configurable should be: Max Framerate, Screen Resolution (in intervals, 480, 720, 1080, 1440, 2160. 480 is for testing only and might make text completely unreadable), VSync, Fullscreen + Borderless, and FXAA.
As I said changing these will be a little complex, so the code for this may or may not break the game. These settings values will also save to a file, settings.cfg and will be human-readable so you can easily change the values in case the game just won't start after you change them.

Due to security reasons, Discord Rich Presence integration and GameJolt API support (score, trophies, cloud saving?) will be saved for a later date.

This will also be the beginning of building in favor of Windows 64-Bit as analytics show that Win64 is the most downloaded version, coming in second place is Linux 64-Bit, third is Mac OSX. Meaning minor builds will not be built for Linux and Mac, only x.0.0 and 0.x.0 will be released for these platforms. Smaller, minor builds will be for Windows 64-Bit.
And due to the literal non-existent downloads for the 32-Bit versions, these will be completely discontinued as of the making of this post.

Network testing will also begin here. We hope to have simple hosting to support only P2P (peer-to-peer) by this build. No online matches yet as that is a whole different workflow, but only a screen to show the host and the peers connected to said host. And maybe text messages but we'll have to see what comes of this.

These are only a handful of the major changes coming in 0.8.0, the rest will be available as a patch note text file that will come with the builds.

See y'all hopefully on Friday, August 26th, 2022.
