Is it just me, or is EXE suspicously similar to Copy X from Mega Man Zero?

If I had a nickel for everytime there was a character from a very famous fangame, with part of their name being Wolfgang, and they died hella early, I would have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happend twice.

If there's another fangame that has competition with Sonic XG with the game that I made the most amount research on, it's without a doubt Lament. That rabbit hole is DEEP, I tell you!
