So lately developing The Lost Ones: Treasure Island hasn't felt as much fun as of late, and there's a reason for that. But I have been enjoying the last few days however when it comes to the tests and new ideas and what not.
But one of the things I hate the most when it comes to a FNaTI based game development is how many games there are. But I don't have a problem with people making them, not at all. It's the people who treat the development of these games as a sort of competition, a sort of race to who releases it first, or who can make it look the best or play the best.
Thing is people have their own ideas, possibly their own mechanics, but most importantly their own style. And what they do should not be compared to another FNaTI game that's made by a different person entirely or even a team, and when people do that can just end up draining the creator of their motivation in wanting to continue their project.
I make FNaTI fangames for fun, and in a position like this is I'm trying to finish off what a certain someone started and failed to finish by running away from their mistakes, along with exposure proven to be true. I don't make games to try and prove that I'm better than someone else, and neither should you.
Please don't be that person to talk smack about someone elses game just cause you're comparing it to someone elses, or even your own.
And I know I'm already guilty of doing something like that way before, and which to those effected I apologise. But in these days I'm just trying to finish something with the fun made along the way.
