Okay, so for those interested, yes f.gm is a new game and no Project Glow is NOT cancelled. So, let me explain it to you. Project Glow is still in development, but since I haven't been so active in game development, at least in releasing anything, Project Glow (not the final name of course) is not the easiest thing to develop. My intentions are for this to be THE big game of mine, with a full on story, unique characters and humour. Now, to achieve that I will need to test out what works and what does not, so I decided to take the Toby Fox approach.
If you weren't aware of this yet, Toby Fox is the developer of both Undertale and Deltarune, both are BIG inspirations for Project Glow. With that being said, it is not a fan game, it is just inspired by the creations of Toby Fox. Before Undertale, Toby wanted to make Deltarune, he had this game planned from the start, even before Undertale was in his mind. The reason why he made Undertale was as a sort of test, to see what he could and could not do. This is the very soul reason he didn't want it to be popular, because he was afraid it would overshadow his BIG project: Deltarune.
Now, the reason why this matters is that this made me think… why don't I do something like that. So, I started to think, there is a specific gameplay element I have never tried before, and now I want it to be in Project Glow? I gotta make sure to test this out first... in a game, so I am making a game under the temporary code name "f.gm", which is obviously not its final name, I already have one in mind. However, these code names do allow me to mention my game without actually going into the details.
What are your plans for f.gm?
Okay, so f.gm is nothing compared to Project Glow, so don't expect any secrets or hints to it. While these things were intended when I first thought of the idea, they are no longer there. In fact, f.gm has become its own unique game, it is actually related to something I have been wanting to make for more than a year now and only now have I finally gotten the right ingredients for its gameplay and ideas.
Obviously this will not be a massive game. Instead, it will be putting its most focus on the story and character(s) in it. If you are not into story stuff, I am sorry, but this one is not for you. With that being said, it is pretty obvious that I cannot give you any severe details on what it will be like. Though I will try my best to give you an idea.
For a start, I have never tried this kind of gameplay before. It is new and unique to anything I tried before (yes, I am still using Clickteam). As I said, the story and character(s) are really important, so I want to put both focus on that and the new elements. For more than a year, I have been trying to develop this game, but it never turned out the way I wanted to. I kept on scrapping it and changing concepts and the story, so the fact that I AM actually able to make this is... really nice. I am more than happy with the ideas I have in mind and if I can get this to work I might actually be able to bring this somewhere.

Whether you care enough or not is up to you. All I want to say is that I have kept this in the dark for a few good weeks and this is my first time talking about it. I will not reveal anything until the next devlog and while I usually update my best friend @Zrox-Games on what I am making as well, this time I will not. He will have to figure it all out the way you do, there is only one person who knows about this game's existence, and it is not a family member or someone I have known for a while, although I was aware of his existence.
I hope this is enough information, if any of you are not getting the hints, again, @Zrox-Games may actually know some things if he takes a close peek into the hints I just gave y'all.
I will keep you all updated once I have made a little more progress and I might even bring you one step closer to what this game might be, once the time comes.
