February Devlog - 2.4.5 PATCH RELEASED


Hey again, sorry for taking so long to finish this patch. The game has gotten mildly popular since the Anniversary release, especially from YouTubers such as Dawko and FusionZGamer. After hearing their commentary (as well as feedback from various other users), we realized that the game has some major issues when it comes to explaining the mechanics; this patch was supposed to fix that by adding new phone calls from @winsomeless with actual, helpful lines, but since it kept taking too long to implement those, we decided to save those for the Final Update.

Anyway, this patch fixes the issue Bonnie and Freddy had with their FNAF2 sequences, as well as fixing the broken Easter Egg system, replacing the ending screens for the 5th and 6th Nights, and a few minor visual changes. However, since people keep having issues understanding the mechanics we will detail those down below along with the usual stuff.

How do I defend myself from the Animatronics?

  • Freddy and Bonnie are fended off the same way as their Withered counterparts from FNAF2. They start off at the Show Stage, and will make their way through the pizzeria to your Office. After entering it, the screen will flicker, and you will have to put your mask on in time to avoid being jumpscared by them.

  • The Puppet and Chica act the same way as the latter did in FNAF1, with you having to close the door on them the moment they appear at your right window. There's no science to this really, just be careful with your power usage.

  • Foxy and Ghoul BB don't have any FNAF equivalents when it comes to the way you fend them off, so it's best to explain it this way: the moment Foxy and Ghoul BB reach the West Hallway 01 or Ventilation Shaft cameras respectively, be sure to flicker your flashlight at them every once in a while, don't hold on to it or else the method won't work. If they still don't disappear after flickering a few times, try pulling your camera down and then back up.

  • Golden Freddy is fended off by using the left light button, which blinds you for a couple of seconds. There isn't much science to this either, just press it as soon as you see him.

Why does my antivirus/browser recognize this game as a threat?

For those of you worried about a supposed virus or spyware detected in this game, don't worry it's a false alarm. Most Clickteam games have this issue, actually. Here's a little link for more info: https://community.clickteam.com/threads/102482-How-to-prevent-fusion-games-to-be-detected-as-virus

What's that "Easter Egg System" you keep talking about"?

This was actually mentioned in past devlogs, but since they've been tweaked a bit it's best to explain it again here:

  • The Office contains two easter eggs; the first can be accessed by clicking the monitors in the Office multiple times, while the second... a very "spherical" one... is obtained after pulling your monitor up and down several times.

  • As for the cameras themselves, 01, 02, 2A, 2B, 04, 06, 07, and 08 have special renders that you can access by constantly checking them after pulling your monitor up and down several times.

  • And last but not least are the only endings currently coded into the game, the first one being accessed by visiting and leaving the Extras Menu a bunch of times, and the second one by typing a very... "emerging"... word in the Extras Menu.

If you happen to find any of these, be sure to record it for some funnies.

This will (hopefully) be the last patch released until the Final Update, which will take a while to finish.
