Five Nights At Freddy's: Their Story (Creepypasta/Theorypasta/Longpasta) [13+]

Five Nights At Freddy's is considered by many to be a great game to many people. From a horror game created in 2014 to a new 2021 game with new glamrock animatronic characters, FNAF became a huge success. The game consists of you attempting to survive the nightshift every five nights from 12 AM to 6 AM, while avoiding the animatonics. Pretty cool stuff, don't you think? Well, what if I were to tell you that this wasn't just the "bright idea" of an indie game developer and that it happens to originate from something much darker?

Freddy Fazbear (Gabriel Smith)'s Backstory:

Gabriel "James" Smith was born on June 23rd, 1978.

Before he was Freddy, he was a young kid, who attended his friend's birthday party at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. At the party, he and four children were visited by a Spring Bonnie costume, one of the two animatronics from Fredbear's Family Diner (William Afton in the suit).

He lured them into a back room where he brutally murdered them and hid their corpses inside the animatronic costumes. The kids' spirits remained trapped in the animatronic suits.

In 1995, The family restaurant Charlie's father once owned now an incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place, but upon further investigation, the friends discover the restaurant is still standing, and the mall has been built around it.

After breaking in, Charlotte and her friends explore the abandoned restaurant and find that the animatronic mascot characters - Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, and Chica the Chicken, which were built by Charlie's father - have been left behind.

The next day, Charlie and her friends attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him. Afterward, John confesses to Charlie that he remembers seeing a strange person in a yellow Freddy costume at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the day of Michael's death, and he now suspects this person was Michael's killer.

That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Lamar, Marla, and her 11-year-old brother Jason.

They discover the still-functioning control panel which makes the robots move, and Charlie finds a fourth robot - Foxy the Pirate Fox - which cuts her arm with its hook. The next morning, haunted by recent events, Charlie tells John that before moving to Hurricane her father owned another restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner, which featured two performing robots, yellow versions of Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Bunny (Fredbear And Spring-Bonnie).

William reveals that the robots are possessed by the vengeful ghosts of his victims and boasts that they will hunt down and kill any intruders. The group tries to hide in a party room, but all four robots corner them.

After Golden Freddy from Fredbear's Family Diner, which Charlie realizes is possessed by Michael's ghost. The Golden Freddy allows them to leave, and Chief Burke arrives to search for the missing Officer Dunn. William attacks in the yellow Bonnie costume, but Charlie activates its spring locks, killing him.

As the robots drag William's corpse away, Chief Burke escorts everyone out of the mall. The friends go their separate ways, and before leaving Hurricane, Charlie visits her father's grave, remembering a happy day she had with him.

Bonnie The Bunny (Jeremy Coffin)'s Backstory:

Jeremy Coffin was born on September 25, 1985, and he, like the other kids alongside Gabriel were all murdered by William Afton.

The day, Bonnie appeared as a friendly, harmless, joyful, nice, and sympathetic robot purple rabbit, who never harm children and always take care of them, often playing guitar along Freddy and the rest of the gang to distract customers of the restaurant.

Albeit his appearance is somewhat disturbing, and his behavior rather malevolent upon confronted to adults.

Once he confronted Mike, Bonnie became a cunning, malicious, merciless, evil-minded, rather impatient murderous stalker, obsessed by the idea of stuffing the night guard into a spare animatronic suit for some dark reasons (presumably as revenge of the spirit within him).

Bonnie then became the most active robot, being usually the first one to leave the stage, but also the least dangerous of the original four animatronics.

Whenever he waited outside the door, it wasn't for very long, although even if he was far from the office, he can actually travel there surprisingly quickly. Whenever Mike shut the door on him, it wears him out quickly into leaving, as opposed to the persistent Chica.

Bonnie then appeared performing on stage alongside Freddy and Chica in 1985, back when Jeff's Pizza was Freddy Fazbear's Pizza instead. Earlier on, Oswald absentmindedly drew animatronics, one of which was a bunny, most likely Bonnie himself.

One of his dirtiest tactics is to hide in the storage closet, and bound to the office at an incredible speed, catching Mike off-guard.

He was very unpredictable and possibly impatient as he twitches constantly, indicating he might be getting frustrated. Bonnie was, in fact, actually possessed by the soul of one of the children killed by William Afton, which explains his temperamental and evil behavior (As Explained Earlier).

Chica The Chicken (Susie Lawrence)'s Backstory:

Susie Lawrence was born on February 7, 1976.

To her family, she is a sweetheart who loved to play with the other kids in her neighborhood.

She, alongside the other kids themselves, was murdered by William Afton, and stuffed inside the Chica suit.

She appeared on the stage with Freddy and Bonnie in another abandoned pizzeria. Foxy is located in Pirate's Cove. Chica is observed to hold a cupcake.

Alongside Freddy and Bonnie, Chica was a friendly robotic children's entertainer housed at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. But once the restaurant is plunged into the dark, she's a murderer who tries to stuff any employee she sees into an animatronic suit, which is not accommodating to human anatomy. In fact, she was possessed by a child's soul, which explains her erratic and bloodthirsty behavior (as I said earlier before).

Chica was much more steadier and more predictable than Bonnie, and slower moving, but more persistent, and inclined to wait outside the door to drain its power. She also has a curious habit of hiding in the kitchen and making a lot of loud noise like she was "playing"; or, perhaps, just fumbling around in the dark.

This is why she looks at Mike through the window, though gives away the opportunity to her coming in by opening the door to see if she is there.

Like Bonnie, her killing off Mike will happen if she's outside and the door isn't closed in time before it is broken. Otherwise, checking the camera will lead to an attack from Chica.

Chica can also disable the player's lights and doors. If this happens, she's already in the Office, hiding. Checking the cameras will trigger her animation and end the game. It is advised to close the door immediately if Chica is seen, while briefly checking the cameras for her.

Foxy The Pirate Fox (Fritz Schneider)'s Backstory:

Fritz Schneider was born on January 3rd, 1977.

He, alongside Gabriel, Susie, Jeremy and Cassidy, was brutally murdered by William Afton.

During the early days, it was commonly theorized that Foxy was responsible for the Bite of '87 as his jaw is broken, which could be a result of biting down a customer, and his sharp teeth and elongated mouth make him the most capable of serious damage. That also explains why Pirate Cove is closed down, and why Foxy was set aside.

But many people seemed to believe the culprit was Fredbear after witnessing what had happened to Nick Afton's brother. But it was actually back in 1983, before Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy arrived.

Additionally, a lot of evidence proved that Foxy was not responsible for the bite:

He was kept in the back room along with the other old animatronics when the toys arrived, which would make it hard for him to actually bite someone, and even If he actually was responsible for the bite, then all of the old animatronics would've been scrapped for good, but it was the toy animatronics that were scrapped for good due to them possibly malfunctioning.

Golden Freddy (Cassidy William)'s Backstory

Cassidy William was born on April 2nd, 1980.

In the early 1980s, William Afton and Henry Emily opened up Fredbear's Family Diner, featuring animatronic versions of the titular animatronic and his companion, Spring Bonnie. The restaurant was so successful that in 1983, they opened another pizzeria called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, which eventually spread into a restaurant chain. All the Freddy's restaurants had their own sets of Fredbear and Spring Bonnie suits which would by used by employees as backup, alongside a special, off-camera "Safe Room" where they would put on/take off the suits, and also bleed out in case of a spring-lock failure. However, a tragic incident occurred at Fredbear's that lead to its unfortunate closure, presumably causing the original Fredbear and Spring Bonnie suits to be moved to the nearest - and first - Freddy's location.

Sometime afterwards, a child was killed by Afton while he was wearing the Spring Bonnie suit at Freddy's. Their body was stuffed into a Fredbear suit (presumably the Freddy's one) by either William or The Puppet/Marionette. Cassidy later haunted the suit, and gained supernatural powers, presumably due to their agony and lust for revenge, becoming Golden Freddy.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was shut down later, due to that incident.

Springtrap (William Afton)'s Backstory:

William Afton was born on June 26, 1963.

He was the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment, the business partner of Henry Emily and the father of Micheal Afton, Elizabeth Afton, and the Crying Child.

He helped Henry establish Fredbear's Family Diner and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, as well as managing the establishments while Henry built the animatronic mascots.

Despite being a successful businessman, Afton led a double life as a serial killer who murdered many children across several Freddy Fazbear's Pizza locations in the 1980s, including Henry's own daughter, Charlotte.

At one point in his life, he founded Afton Robotics, LLC and created the Funtime animatronics, which were made to capture and kill children.

Sometime after 1993, after making the fatal mistake of destroying the classic animatronics and accidentally freeing the ghosts of his victims, Afton attempted to protect himself with the old, withered Spring Bonnie suit, the same used for his murders.

But the suit's spring-lock mechanisms failed and its suppressed endoskeleton fatally skewered him, transforming him into the undead human-animatronic hybrid, Springtrap.

Final Story:

5 years had passed since the horrific incidents that had happened at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and news outlets across the world were going crazy about the stories. But one day, William Afton (Springtrap) had an extremely bright idea… Come the morning of January 17th, 1998, Micheal had just woke up, and was about to do his detective work, when he noticed there was a letter in the mailbox. He opened it and inside, it was written “Come back to Freddy's…. Let’s play a little game together like old pals….”

The letter had no signature attached to it, but Micheal had a feeling that it was William Afton wanting him to come back. But how is that even possible? Also, didn’t Afton go missing after he had broken out of prison? Regardless, Micheal decided to go back in, hoping to survive. He entered, and it was very quiet and dark. The school that he had once remembered back in 1996 looked dilapidated and broken. It was like going back to your childhood house, with everything dusty, and vines covering the entrance. Micheal yelled out into the darkness. “Hello? Is anyone in here?” But there was no answer.

Suddenly, he heard a loud thump down the main hallway, so like any detective would, he went to investigate. As he got closer, the noise grew louder and louder, until he ended up at one of the many doors, which appeared to look slightly broken off its hinges and with wires sticking out of it. He heard heavy breathing on the other side, so he opened the door reluctantly. On the other side, was none other than… William Afton, now known as Springtrap himself. Only difference was that he looked more disheveled and creepy. His suit was torn and ragged and his eyes… oh god, his eyes. His eyes looked like he had seen Death itself. Suddenly, Springtrap spoke up, with a very raspy voice. “Why hello there…. Micheal Afton. You remember when we chased each other in the hallway…? That was fun, right..?”

Micheal didn’t want to be reminded. He remembered all the times he got chased down the halls and the sacrifice his best friend made just to save him. “What do you even want from me, Dad? Why did you want me back here?”, Micheal responded in a bitter tone of voice. Springtrap then replied, “Let’s play hide and seek, like good old times…” Micheal didn’t want anything to do with this husk of a man, so he reluctantly refused. “Oh come on… don’t you just want to at least have fun… for one… last time?”, Springtrap asked. Micheal pulled out his gun and replied to him, “No! I don’t want to play anymore of your stupid fucking games, old man! After what you did to me back in those days, I don’t want to have anything to do with you! Not after you killed my old friend…” Micheal began to become teary eyed. “Oh your friend is still alive and well, Micheal… Just not where you think he is. And soon.. you will join him.”

Springtrap began walking slowly like a zombie towards Micheal. Micheal made a run for it and tried to head for the exit, but it was completely sealed shut. It wouldn’t budge. So Micheal looked for a hiding spot, since he was doing hide and seek in the first place. He found a party room, but inside that area, was something so peculiar. There were little cells. Each labelled “Corpses” with a number. The cells were holding everyone Micheal knew from Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The Ghost Crying Child Souls Of Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, Fritz, etc. But two of these cells stood out to him in particular.

Micheal continued roaming the halls, going in more rooms to find the key to exit. Eventually, he found the key, and used them to free everyone. But before he could be proud that he finally escaped, Springtrap was right behind him. “FOUND YOU, MICHEAL!”, Springtrap yelled crazily. Springtrap began strangling Micheal, and he was worried he was going to be trapped inside this abandoned pizzeria, locked inside of his own cell, never to be seen or heard from again.

He struggled against Springtrap, and with the last of his power, he picked up a knife and ran. Micheal began to escape from Springtrap’s grasp. Micheal started running away, and was fully on his way to escape, but someone familiar was in the way. Golden Freddy, known as Fredbear. Micheal was shocked to see Fredbear standing in the way. “F-F-Fredbear?! W-What are you doing here? I thought you were dead!”

But Fredbear just stood there, not saying anything, except blocking Micheal Afton's way. “Why aren’t you listening to me?”, Micheal asked. “Look, there’s a psychopath that looks like an undead zombie rabbit after me and I need to get through! Please!” Then Fredbear actually replied. “I know *echoes*” to which Micheal confusedly said “What?” “I was brought back by William Afton today. And you’re not getting past me. You’re going to die *echoes*.” Fredbear replied.

At this point, Micheal had hit a dead end. Either he was going to have to turn around and risk having his life taken away by Springtrap or to make Fredbear move.

But Micheal wasn’t willing to die in the hands of that crazy psychotic husk of an undead zombie rabbit human hybird animatronic, so with all of his might, he shoved Fredbear to the ground and proceeded to unload the wires out of his chest. Once Fredbear was fully dead, Micheal proceeded to make his escape, but Springtrap pulled Micheal back in. “Oh don’t leave now, the game has only just begun”, Springtrap said in a chilling voice. “Soon you will join your little friend in your own little cell and you will be with him forever.” It was real hopeless for Tag as he was finally thrown into his cell. That was it. Game over...Or was it?

Micheal knew he had to get out of his cell one way or another, so he devised an escape plan. Micheal now realized that there was no escape to this hellhole, But Micheal didn’t want to give up. He took a sledgehammer through the cage’s bars, and began to repeatedly smack a metal bar with it, hoping it would break off. At first, nothing was happening. But then, he started going full force with the sledgehammer, denting it piece by piece until finally, it was broken off. Now with one of the metal bars cut off, he escaped the cage and started exploring the building, while Springtrap wasn’t watching.

Micheal was walking down a hallway, and suddenly stepped on a piece of paper. He picked it up, with hesitation, and read it. “If you’re reading this, there’s a way out, and you are probably luckier than me. I’ve had encounters with William Afton. I know his weakness. Six will do. -Signed, Henry Emily” ...Henry? Then that meant only one thing. Henry was enduring the same things Micheal was enduring, except he wasn’t so lucky, and met a grim fate. But what did “Six” mean? Six bullets? Six slashes?

Micheal barely had time to marvel at Henry’s cruel fate when Springtrap noticed him down the hallway. “Shit!” Micheal yelled as he started getting chased down the hallway. As he ran, he was questioning the nature of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza incidents.

What caused William Afton to snap? Where Are The Original Animatronic Suits? These questions would be left unanswered as Springtrap was catching up to Micheal. It was then he realized what Six meant. He pulled out his gun, and shot the first bullet at Springtrap, viscerally tearing his eye apart. He shot the second and third, each going to his left and right hands respectively. He shot the 4th bullet cutting Springtrap's left leg off. The 5th bullet tore his nose off, dropping like a bouncy ball. Then he shot the last bullet, splitting Springtrap’s face in half, and ending a long-lasting period of torture and unfair rule.

But Springtrap had one last trick up his last breath. As he started losing his breath, and his heart stopped beating, he pressed a button. Suddenly, a countdown started ticking. Micheal was shocked, and instantly went to free the rest of the survivors, and escaped the nightmarish pizzeria with them. 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… and an explosion blew up the entire pizzeria. The survivors were finally free of William Afton’s unfair torture. The story was finally over.

Everyone left to live their lives, but Micheal stood there. In awe of the place he’d spent a portion of his childhood in, all gone into ashes. The party rooms, the arcades, all of those, gone. He slowly walked back into his house, accepting that Freddy Fazbear's Pizza was gone for good. A few days later, when the news was talking about the murder of William Afton, someone saw the news and decided to make a game parodying the incidents. It would go on to become.. Five Nights At Freddy's.
