Why? Therefore, first of all:

since I have started to draw with Anew Art Style.
2. The Main Antagonist Sonic's:

Nightmare Sonic "Spooky-Up!",
and Origin Sonic "Midday" (only when he's under the Control...)
Must have such a long spikes, because they use them
as the ability to smash some doors more easily. (The Upper Example in Picture)
3. Those Spikes have become more dangerous!
Perhaps it also helps to hold Silent whenever she would try to escape
from Sonic's Ability: Hedge"Hug"!
4. Sonic can also use his spikes to attack the Security Guards
(when they are summoned by Silent) to knock them out for a short time.
5. And since Sonic has those long spikes... He can spin even faster and most of all... He can charge at Silent, he will try to grab her and spin with trapping her inside
the Spinning Ball! (The Bottom Example in Picture)
And make her to have dizziness!
(This is also the oppurtunity for Sonic that he can Bite Silent
while she is inside and take 1 "Stamina Core" for sure!)
Then, Sonic throws Silent outside and she will run in "Reversed Movement"
for some time (That is if she run to right side, instead she would run to left side).
