Hello, all you crafty people! Hope you're all doing well and are safe from the outside world! I got some information to let you guys know about for Five Nights at Steve's Diner: Reborn. I'm gonna go over some of the changes I will be making, some of the mechanics, and other similar things like that.
First of all, some of you may be wondering when the game will ACTUALLY start up it's development? The best answer I can give is that I should be able to start it around the late August to early September area. On August 26th, it'll be my birthday and I will get the cash to get Game Maker Studio.
Now, let's talk about the changes to the story and the original game that will become apparent in the Reborn version. First of all, I will be doing the phone calls myself, as opposed to what was originally gonna happen, being my ex-best friend doing the audio for the phone calls. We had ended up having a falling out and had ceased all further forms of communication in early to mid April. This means that I will have to change it up where either the restaurant owner, mentioned in the bad ending image on the old game page, does the phone calls, or that instead of him having a daughter, he has a son. I decided to go with the former option though to try to keep the story as close to the original as I had originally planned. More changes to the story will be noticeable in the game when it's finished, but it all will end up coming to the same conclusion.
Now, what am I going to do regarding the endings for the game? Well, the bad ending will pretty much be the same, just in more detail and with better explaining and all that, but for this game I will need to plan a Good Ending for the game, something I didn't do with the original game before canceling it.
Next thing I wanted to talk about is the gameplay for FNaSD:R. I want each night to be quite different from the last, including Night 6 and the 5/20 mode for the final game (more on that soon). I will be releasing a YouTube video soon that will mention these mechanics a bit, so make sure to check it out when it releases!
Night 1 and 2 I will say will be pretty similar to FNaF 1's first and second nights, but then from Night 3 onward I will try to make it more unique.
I will also work on some easter eggs as well. There's no way in HELL I would want to make a FNaF fangame WITHOUT having Easter Eggs.
What will the Easter Eggs be? That's a suprise that you'll find out in due time.
I should also briefly mention that I'm still open for any sort of assistance on the game. If you want to e-mail me any ideas, email me at [email protected]. Anyone who emails this email address will eventually receive an email back from me with just a small form to fill out. Nothing too hard. I mainly just would need help with a trailer for the game, but I could surely use help for the actual development too.
I should probably also mention that this game will NEVER end up being a part of something like the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, due to the game using stuff from Mojang, a company that Scott Cawthon has NO relation with.
There is still no release date set in stone, but rest assured I will keep you guys updated.
Thanks for reading,
-Ethan "DTHG" K.
