FNaF World Simulator: Version 1.0.3 + Important Message About the Game

Hello again! Here’s another update for FNaF World Simulator, and below the notes saying what I changed, there’s an important message that I would really appreciate if you all could read. Also, one thing that I’d like to say:
Please keep your game updated. Your save files are kept.
Not only are you playing it the unintended way, but when people report errors to me, I can’t know if it’s because you’re playing on a old version or if it’s an issue with the latest version. Even if your game runs perfectly fine on the oldest version, update it. You never know when you might run into a glitch.

Anyway, here is what I changed in this version:

  • Tried once again to optimize things in the overworld to improve movement speed. Let me know if it’s better now!

  • I modified once again the way sounds are played in the overworld to see if it fixes the mute sounds glitch. Let me know if it fixed it!

  • I also modified some things to try and fix the crashing issues. Let me know if it fixed it.

  • You must now walk for a minimum of 3 seconds before entering a battle. It has always been a feature that 2 seconds must have passed before entering another battle, but those 2 seconds went down regardless if you were moving or not, so now I changed it so that the seconds only count for when you’re moving, and changed the number of seconds from 2 to 3.

  • Increased the duration of Jumpscares. (Yours, not the opponents’.)

  • The screen shakes less when damage is inflicted.

  • Added the sound effect for when the Freddles attack is used that was missing.

  • The game now uses Anti-aliasing when in fullscreen or when maximized. Basically, what Anti-aliasing does is make lines smoother. Here’s a comparison.

  • LetNightFall in the credits changed his username to ReFusion, so I updated the credits to have his current username.

  • Fixed an error at the end of Geist Lair with…

  • Fixed an error where the music in the overworld would be slower after talking to Animdude.

Now here is the important message. It’s quite a long read, but it’s something I want everyone to read, especially those who are having trouble with the game or who say that it’s far too different from FNaF World. So I would really appreciate if you all could take a minute of your time and read this. Thank you.

One thing that a lot of people have been talking about recently is that attacks don’t do as much damage as in FNaF World, that the battles take too long, or that some things don’t work the same as FNaF World.
Guys, this game is not supposed to be a 1:1 copy of FNaF World.
This game requires a bit more strategy and planning, unlike in FNaF World, where you could just spam Gift Boxes and you’d be good to go.

There are direct attacks that deal more damage, but of course, they’re only for one enemy. There’s attacks for multiple enemies, although they deal less damage. You can’t just press whatever shows up on the screen and that’s it, you have to analyze things.
If you’re taking too much damage, use boosts to increase your defense or level up to get more health. Jumping into the more difficult parts of the game without buying anything or without strategy will of course lead to a Game Over.
Also, you need to pay attention to what is said in the game. Redbear will often tell you important things that you need to know to proceed with the story. Skipping over all of his dialogue may sometimes get you stuck without knowing what to do. (If you didn’t pay attention to Redbear’s dialogue, or want to re-read what he said, you can always talk to Springbonnie over at Fazbear Hills.)

I’ve always wanted since the beginning of development of this game to make it more like an RPG, requiring more thought and strategy, as FNaF World was very lackluster in the RPG aspect. You could just use the same 3 attacks over and over and you’d almost definitely win.

I wanted to make this game have more of a story and to be more like an actual RPG, while still having the FNaF World style and characters.

I started building this game with these ideas in mind, and (spoilers of the end of the game)

…it is even part of the story why the attacks are weaker.

So, changing it to make the attacks like in FNaF World would just be starting over. This game is a FNaF World game, but with a deeper battle system. I didn’t want to make a game where you could just use the same attack over and over. That wouldn’t make for a fun game. I’m sorry if you don’t like this change, but there’s nothing I can do about it. If I tried to please everyone, I would end up pleasing no one.

So please stop asking me to buff attacks or to make it like FNaF World. However, if you find any issues or have any complaints about the execution of the battle system, let me know!

That’s all. Thank you all for reading, and see you next time!
