Appearance
Hanks appearance differs from almost every episode in Madness Combat, however the most featured design in his Mods are his "Depredation" and "Antipathy" designs (from MashProTato's and OrikanTheDiviner's mods). In his Depredation design, he wears bandages covering all of his head except his face, he wears a black bandana over those bandages on the top of his head. he wears red lensed glasses and a black face mask over his "mouth". On his body, he wears more bandages covering almost his whole body with a spot where it isn't covered, revealing a shirt with what is presumably and visibly a face on it. He wears a black trench coat over his body and just like almost every other Madness Combat character, has grey shoes. In his Antipathy design, he looks just like his Depredation design except his mask has been removed and a large, toothy mouth with a metal plate for a lower jaw is visible. he is also notably bloody.
However, in his upcoming week and in DozenRahyz's version, he takes his appearance from Madness Combat 7: Consternation. This is an appearance he takes after getting revived in the beginning of the same episode. Wearing a black mask and bandana that covers his whole face except his eyes, which are protected by red goggles. He wears Black, fingerless gloves and a black trench coat that covers his whole body, with a belt around him. He wears large, greyish brown shoes and has a red microphone. It should also be noted that his bandages are still seen under his bandana and mask.

Hank originates from Madness Combat by Krinkels.
Hank is one of the few modded characters that has a different-colored microphone.
Hank appeared in the game trailer as an upcoming playable character.
Despite all characters in Madness being shown as male, all characters are actually genderless shown in a Q&A answered by Krinkels.
However, Hank is referred to as "they" in the description of Madness Combat 9.5, in addition to he/him. They are also called "they" in Nexus 2.

Hank was influenced by The Terminator, Blade and the Grammaton Clerics.
Hank was a volleyball tryout and really wanted to become one but Krinkels says that the universe "had other plans".
Hank was also mentioned in a list of volleyball tryouts in Madness Combat 4: Apotheosis at the area with a corner leading to where the vending machine is located and the entrance towards the underground area where Tricky was at.
In MashProTato’s title screen Hank’s dance is a reference to the ending to Madness Combat 1 where he celebrates his victory by dancing to DJ Birdie Chicken Dance.
His metal plate jaw comes from his defeat in Madness Combat 5: Depredation where his head gets pulled off by Tricky, who replaces his lost lower jaw with a metal plate before reviving him.
There is a fan theory that states that the metal plate within his head is actually an improbability drive, although this theory has not been confirmed.
Another fan theory is that the metal plate is the part of Tricky's mask that was cut off during Madness 5.
Hank has 692 kills throughout the entire Madness Combat series.
He was behind at least 48% of the kills in the Madness series.
Hank has died 10 times throughout the series, most of which he is resurrected by "The Higher Powers."
The Higher Powers is/are the one(s) to not only resurrect most of the characters but also give them plot armor according to Krinkles.
Hank is the only character in the Madness Combat series that has a full name.
Hank, after he died in Madness Combat 7, was revived from a machine that made him bigger, stronger, and he now has a large, red arm that can create bolts of lightning.
The inspiration behind his arm was a game called Die By The Sword, in particular, it was based off an enemy design.
Krinkels also said that he liked Asymmetrical character designs.
When Krinkels was asked if Hank would kill Sanford, Deimos and 2BDamned, when he is ordered to, Krinkels replied with: "Hank is very good at his job."
Hanks appearance changes almost every episode except Madness Combat 2: Redeemer, Madness Combat 10: Abrogation, and partially in Madness Combat 9.5 because it takes place right after Hank died in Madness Combat: 7: Consternation.
In addition, he has also gone through the most costume changes.
The only episodes Hank isn't seen dead are Madness Combat 1 and in Madness Combat 10: Abrogation.
He is also not seen dead in a few non-canon Madness episodes, Incident: 001A and Incident: 100A.
The only episodes where Hank has not died after being revived are Madness Combat 6: Antipathy and Madness Combat 9: Aggregation.
Hank works for an ambiguous and mostly unknown group of entities called "The Employers", who give his assignments and things to do for them, such as freeing Sanford and Deimos from an AAHW prison in the beginning of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic).
The Employers are also sometimes referenced by other characters, as seen when MERC soldiers accused Sanford and Deimos for working for the Employers, even though the two haven't even heard of them beforehand.
The concept art of the Employers resemble one of Hanks enemies, The Auditor, this implies that the Auditor may be one of them.
This was later confirmed by Krinkles in an art stream.
The Employers seem to be godly entities, similarly to the Higher powers. this is further implied when Phobos tried to become one and stated that he was achieving "Godhood" by doing so.
The Employers seem very similar to another similar group with the same name from the Half-Life series.
