When he captures your soul and puts you in a vessel (either Tails or Knuckles, to are many than just 2), he erases anything you remember about your past life, including your name, personality, age, etc, effectively making you a lifeless, unmovable (unless someone is playing the game) body.
You'd be lucky if you even keep your memories, and even then, you still can't move unless someone is playing

it was also based on the Cyborg Sonic 3 Palette glitch, which in itself is what X from SONIC.EXE (2024 REWRITE) is based on color (colour to Britian's) wise
