Fun fact: for the rooms in the game, I made rooms in C4D to use as a base.


And for the design of the characters I first draw them by hand and use it as a base for the game arts

(I actually showed the drawings in the extras)

yes I think that doing this is double the work, because it takes more time to do this but I think it's necessary to make the rooms as consistent as possible.

remember my first 2d drawing? it took less time to do it but you can notice that it has errors.

that's why I decided to make the art in the way I mentioned, in my second 2d game I will make the rooms more decorated, which I will show soon.

I don't mind doing this long procedure, besides the final result makes up for it.

Next up

I didn't manage to achieve the type of lighting I was looking for, so I would say I failed in The attempt (I spent quite a while trying out various lighting options).
