One night at flumptys 3 recently dropped, and I thought “hey, there’s actually some lore that I think some people don’t know about in the flumptys series.” Even if it isn’t much, 5 of the characters have small little lore.
The red man: yep, the weird little red spider thing has lore! It turns out that the creature might actually be the “man who drinks lava and lives” that we hear about in onaf 1. It’s not explained how he got the powers on how to control fires and make portals and stuff. But it’s actually interesting to think that this weird creature actually was human at one point.(also before you say that it’s just a theory. Look at the developers commentary for onaf 1. The creator actually says that red man is the same person who drank lava and lived.)
2. Eyesore: like the red man. His lore was explained through the developers commentary. It’s revealed that this ginormous beast with multiple heads, is just the result of flumpty stitching most of his victims into one body. Again, kinda crazy that this monster actually used to be people at one point.
3 and 4 the beaver and the owl: this characters has lore that happens in the games. I’m not sure where, but it was confirmed that the beaver after falling by off the toilet. Later on, he was replaced by the owl, but in onaf 3. He dies by eating a urinal, it would appear that both of them were buried at the same place. While it’s unknown who or what stitched the two together in onaf 3. It’s a cool and creepy way to bring these two back in for the final chapter.
5. Flumpty bumpty: the lore for the egg himself is simple. Most of you already know since it’s explained in game. But Flumpty has the power to transcend time and space itself, and is even immune to the plot itself(kinda weird since he’s in this post but just “roll” with it, pun intended ;) his lore is that he’s actually the reason you keep coming back. That being, you never leave, flumpty keeps resetting time, and moving you to these random places. Which explains the sequals. The 3rd game being he finally lets you free. I’m not 100% sure which ending is canon or not. But I believe it’s the last one. Since it’s feels like the best ending for the series, and puts a nice tight bow on things.
