Spy Vs Spy - The Fuse & Ms Fire files was for me a small fan project i just created since i was kinda sad about that the original creators never made a "real remake" for home PCs or like. I worked on it "just" some days, had to code it and created a 1.00 version.
It was playable, it was fun but looking back at the "code", its kinda a mess and pretty amateurish made. I still learned how Clickteam was working (and still am, you always learn something new) and it was VERY challenging for me to even "create" this Spy Vs Spy game.
It was kinda an oddball in kinds of "gameplay" and for sure an "niche product" not everyone knows about unlike bigger, more known games of its time - still, in said kind of "gameplay", its much pretty one of its kind and, again, sadly got never really outside of it a propper treatment...
Thats said, that kinda explain the "low numbers" as for views and downloads for my game here - Srs to say that not even 700 clicks in like a bit over 2 years, thats really not much even if it was already placed on a retro gaming convention. Even if the name "Spy Vs Spy" might be somewhat known, it still is and was a "niche product" of its time.
With that said, There i come to the problem that after all this years wile i updated the game here and there a bit, i dont know "what" i could add anymore to it - or for the better, "worth adding".
Im not a good digital sprite artist and already tried ones to make them look, at least, a bit better. I could try ones again to make it look a bit better in some corners... I could even go so far and might add "some new levels". Looking back, originally version 1.00 had 12 Levels, Version 1.25 has now 20 so i already added 8 new ones. As i said, i could try to add some more but than again - why if noone really enjoys it or in other words if its not worth it why should i?
Dont missunderstand me here, i LOVE Spy Vs Spy and still do - even my fan game here and if i think about that i had contact with one of the original creators of the game from 1984, the original composer of the chiptune from it and other music creators of the remixes, it sure was a nice time.
But lets be real.
Noone likes to work on something if it or you gets no respect for what youre doing or if youre working on a "dead project" noone is really Interested in in the first place...
I dont say here i stop working or updating my Spy Vs Spy game from now on but "IF" you wanna see something in the game (New levels, better sprites), you should really tell me why i should do so and give me a reason behind it to show me its actually worth doing so.
So to keep it a bit short, i dont think my Spy Vs Spy Game "will" get another, bigger update in the near future. There might, MIGHT, be another update another day but IF or/and WHEN is another story, so no promisses here but as for now, Version 1.25 might be the final version.
Thanks for reading and any comment and feedback about this.
