Hey ya'll, I updated the page quite a bit! sorry it's been so long, irl stuff has kept me busy, alongside other projects.
art and story wise: all the sprites have been revamped a bit, in part out of experience and to better fit the story for thematic reasons. uh, will make more sense once all of chapter 1 is out.
the outline for chapter 1 has long since been done, from like, at least 6 months ago but getting a more detailed process of it is coming along! i'm trying to really, really polish it.
one thing i've noticed is the story could of been told in a more simple, obvious manner. the monster player character, obviously, is not a demon. the story will be more clearly framed by the Human's perspective, and hopefully that'll make it more understandable upfront

another big reason for my absense is (drum roll) i'm switching to GMS2! It's quite the leap from RPG Maker MV, and i've got sooo much more to learn. (RPG maker doesn't use code all that much, its very much drag and drop within the editor) and going to GMS2 which only uses it is quite the leap!
RPG maker is glitchy, the battle buttons just flat out don't show up for unknown reasons at random times, its an uphill battle to just get the weapon to strike properly, it wastes a lot of memory and does what it wants, calling for assets i didn't even use in the game. its a nightmare.
GML is new to me, its very overwhelming but its reliable and will let me customize further than whats rigidly set. I do, genuinely, think this is the best way to move forward, albeit, it will be a steep learning curve.
thankfully i've been using UNDERTALE Engine by TML and soon to be updated from idioticracy. so the process of switching won't be as crazy if i did everything from scratch! lmao. navigating it currently is hard w/out documentation, but i'm sure with enough research and exploration I can figure it out >:3c
That said, it's going to be a while to make the full switch, but I'll do my best to keep everyone updated now.
Right now I've just gotten the basics understood:
I can have the Player move around in the Openworld, go to new rooms, save, interact with things, ect. Next priority, is getting gml coding help and to rebuild the maps
