Hello Gamejolt, I bring news that I don’t think you’re going to like.
Goodbye New World is being put on halt again.
Due to college, I’ve been working alongside many other people; some of them with previous experience and some without. Turns out, I wasn’t the only one with past experience, and he’s decided to become part of AsteRisk.
Over Xmas, he wanted to have a go at creating a game from scratch, so we brainstormed and came up with a cool idea that we have been collaborating on.
Needless to say, that project is coming along really well. The game has personality, looks great, plays great, is unique. Most importantly, it’s a joy to develop, everything has been thought of in advance and the entire workflow has been streamlined as a result.
This is something that I didn’t do with GBNW. Development has been inefficient, tedious, and honestly the scripting behind the game is awful.
Our new project has been streamlined from the start and is both better to develop and a higher quality game. As a result, it’s now our main project.
I will try to fix this mess of a game later down the line, but it’ll be time consuming.
