Empty Pages began as a passion project in 2022, inspired by classic FNaF gameplay.

As time passed, our vision expanded beyond its initial concept, resulting in the version you know today. Now, Empty Pages will evolve into a completely original horror experience, uniquely ours, which we hope excites and makes you proud to follow our journey.

What does this mean for the series?

Gameplay

Will Empty Pages still play like FNaF, or is it changing completely?
Despite starting as a FNaF fangame, most of Empty Pages was never designed to play like FNaF. The new mechanics will introduce innovative gameplay elements that differ from traditional FNaF mechanics.

Are sit-and-survive nights still part of the experience?
Yes! But they’ve been drastically reimagined into something more dynamic and unpredictable.

What new mechanics can players expect?
We won't say anything yet, but there will be plenty of mechanics designed to keep you on edge.

Characters

Are there still animatronics?
Yes. Animatronics are still a core part of Empty Pages, handled more like Corvus Fantasy World (shout-out to @MorsStudios for the fantastic game!) than FNaF clones, as genuine parts of the world with their own purpose.

Is Aidan still important?
Absolutely. Aidan and other central lore characters remain at the heart of the story.

Will there be human characters?
Besides Aidan, the main protagonist, human presence is conveyed through tapes, videos, and world-building details, but the physical encounters focus on the monsters within.

Story & World

How does the story connect to Wonderland?
Most of the events unfold within Wonderland, though parts of the story reach beyond its gates.

Is Empty Pages a standalone game, or the start of a series?
Only time will tell what's next, but we're dedicated to sharing ongoing updates, so you feel connected and excited about future possibilities and the series' growth.

How dark is the story?
Simply put, we’re not pulling any punches.

Series Direction

What does leaving FNaF behind really mean?
It means complete creative freedom, empowering us to create a unique horror experience without constraints, which we hope makes you feel inspired and confident in our independence and future growth.

Will there be spinoffs or sequels?
While we are not focused on creating spinoffs or sequels, the possibility remains.

Are old ideas gone for good?
Not at all! Many old ideas remain, just heavily reimagined to fit this new world.

Will Empty Pages be released on Steam?
Not yet, but in the future. We plan to release it on the Epic Games Store and GOG as well.
