Hey everyone, I apologize for the long wait regarding any updates for HCN. Unfortunately, I have more bad news than there is good for the time being.
The day after the May 2025 Devlog was released (May 11th), I suffered from back pain so severe that it radiated pain all the way down to my leg, and made me bedridden, preventing me from being at my computer at all for nearly a month.
My X-rays showed nothing wrong while I am currently unable to get an MRI for reasons I cannot talk about publicly. I’ve only incorporated going to the chiropractor twice a week, however due to the way my lifestyle is, it simply isn’t feasible. Thus upon trying to get back to my normal routines, the low back pain occurred again on August 22nd, making me bedridden once again up to this point. I am still able to walk around, however I am unable to walk for a duration of time until I need to stop.
So what does this all mean?
With the lifestyle I had before where I can be at my computer all day nearly everyday, I can no longer continue that way any longer. Even though I have made changes where I am active at most parts of the day, it’s still not enough as my body isn’t compatible to properly improve. At the moment, I can only walk for a duration of time until a burning sensation builds up in my leg, requiring me to pause until it calms down.
I need to limit my usage to work on my projects, but more importantly, I need to take drastic measures to ensure my body is physically healthy enough to prevent any more issues from happening. My computer setup has converted to using a standing desk instead of a traditional desk, but I would rather wait until I am fully confident my body is better.
So if you’re looking forward to Hack’s Custom Night, unfortunately you’re gonna have to wait for a long while. I apologize to anyone who has to wait even longer as HCN was planned to be at SAGE 2025. And I apologize to any clients I have who are waiting for me to get to their work, especially for anything art related.
I am still able to program HCN or other projects on a laptop, but it’s limited in capability, and I can’t work on any art. In addition, the fear of any more of my body tearing down is excruciating. I have difficult times wanting to perform any next moves any day and time. Whenever I have the time, I’ll showcase what was done before and during my recovery time.
I’ll still be active on social media, but you won’t be getting much media content from me anytime soon. I’ll update everyone whenever I can on my physical condition and pending status on my projects.
On another note, I would like to thank my friends and other individuals who helped me fund (originally for chiropractor sessions) to buy a standing desk, as I want to continue making content while staying physically healthy.
Thank you all for reading, and I apologize again for the news.
