This is my second devlog (the first was on itch 😂). In this post I describe Sadie V2, a strategic, narrative-driven, hex-grid, turn based game, in which a teenager fights monsters to save her cat.

In this second devlog, I’ll go over the current state of our game, Sadie V2. If you're not in the mood for reading, there’s a TL;DR at the end of the article.

Lazy Duck Games 🦆💤 started in 2017 as one guy with a passion for videogames. I released a small but polished arcade game called "Wood Jump" here on Game Jolt. Later, I published it on the Play Store.

Bubblington's Pot was our entry for the Global Game Jam 25 🧙‍♀️. It's a 1-on-1 duelling game in which two gingerbread knights face off above a bubbling cauldron!

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
