Hello Gaming World!

This is the intro to the refreshed/reborn Project you all loved and followed.


First of all, let me tell you about the new additions:

1) Overworld:

→ The overworld is a fully destructible voxel world with many interesting and majestic scenes you can explore.

→ You can dig or follow the paths to the caverns where you will be amazed by the cave shapes and architecture.
→ If you reach the bottom part of the world you will see small underground lakes.

2) Gameplay:

Currently, the main game flow is:

→ Collect the 5 hidden items that are scattered around the world.

→ When you find them, the dungeon entrance will spawn underground.
→ You should search the overworld for the hint that leads you to the dungeon entrance.

→ DIG your way down to the dungeon entrance.

Features:

→ You are equipped with the “super awesome power jump boots” that allow you to scale mountains, ground holes and even reach the overworld without having to “dig” your way up.

→ You also have a solar-powered flashlight that you can take with you underground to help you see in the dark.

→ You can place stairs on vertical walls to help you climb up.

3) Dungeons:

→ At the time, the core mechanic of the dungeons is to find merchants and trade with them.

The technical stuff:

For the overworld, we wanted to add random elements. This is accomplished by letting you choose between random or specified seeds. The seed is used to generate the overworld. Each seed you enter is unique and different from the rest. Plus, the trees and other objects that are spawned in the world are also randomly generated. So you get an infinite number of world variations. Hurray!!!

(Be water, my friend) Ah, the classic Bruce Lee quote that comes to life in this game. Water is implemented in a way that lets it take the shape of the “lake”. This means that whenever you interact with voxels near water, the water takes the “new” shape of the “container”. In the future, we may implement more sophisticated water physics. For now, though, the water interacts with the world in a basic way.

“So what’s next???” I hear you ask. Well, we are planning on releasing soon the first pre-alpha demo, in which you can experience the game. We plan on adding more features and items and last but not least FIX THE DAMN BUGS. Stay tuned for upcoming updates, screenshots, videos and hilarious bugs (that drive us crazy)!
