Henry's Son: Inky Ruins - Final development update post!


Hi all!

This will be my final development post about the DLC!
I have great news today! :D

ENDING FOR THE GAME IS FINISHED

Yes! Ending for the DLC is finally done! I've done a ton of animations for it! I think it looks very good and actually hits pretty hard!

I hope you will like it! :)

However this also means that the technical side of the game is done! :D

Right now the only thing I need to work on is sound design!
Once it will be done too, I will do some test, bugfixes and optimization. I really want this game to be very well polished for the release which is just around the corner if everything goes well!

Other smaller things I wanted to mention

Another smaller thing I wanted to mention is how big this DLC actually is.

Henry's Son (base game) - Its all 5 Chapters weighs 1.65 GBs
Henry's Son (base game + DLC) weighs around 2.4 GBs (It will go up because of many sound effects and some music).

And yes! I know that file size doesn't exactly say how long/big the game is but at least you know I really made a lot of assets for it haha :P

(PS: I've done some tests and the game will be around 40-45 minutes long for the 1st time playing. Normally you can beat it in around 30-35 minutes (if you also ignore all secrets, audio logs, etc.)

In the upcoming days I will work a lot on sound design, I mentioned earlier! Once the tests will start, I will work on gameplay trailer too! :D

I'm so excited for the release and I hope you are too!

That would be everything! I just wanted to let you know how close we are to the release!

I sent Henry's Son: Inky Ruins to my testers! I'm kinda nervous if they will like the game and if it will work well but at the same time I'm very excited! Once the tests are done game will be very close to releasing! :D Wish me and my testers luck!
