Dark and light, kind and rude, flustered and abrasive; these were the ingredients to create two perfect anime love interests: Nagatoro and Senpai (Naoto)!

The show is basically about Nagatoro who meets Senpai and messes with him for the rest of the show while growing closer and closer together. It was addictive to watch them go through their weird shenanigans (and I mean don’t-watch-this-with- with-anyone-you-might-get-embarrassed-by weird) and falling in love with each other with in an “opposites-attract” kind of way. Another thing I liked was how even though Nagatoro also messed with him or teased him it never went too far and when he was down by others she defended him. It was the same with Senpai with how when Nagatoro wanted to give up he always reassured her and wasn’t just blindly hitting on her like the other guys in the show.

Even though it ended with a cliffhanger on Season 2 there’s been rumors about Season 3 coming out this new year since the manga is estimated to be finished in 2024. Not sure if I’ll make a review for it but I might.

(Two last things I’ll say I loved about this show was that Season 1’s intro song was a banger and the “wiggle” style parts were so funny.)
