Here’s what to know about Broken!Tale.
Broken!Take is a distorted timeline, where only Sans remains as a survivor and living monster there. His timeline was attacked by Nightmare and his crew (except for Error), Sans tried his best fight back, but failed horribly. Unknown for how long, He woke up in a pile of snow and ashes, everything around him was burnt, distorted or barely touched by the carnage.
Scared and confused, he left, running all across the underground hoping someone survived, but no one did. Not even Undyne could fight back. He went to his home, in hope he would find Papyrus there, all that was left was his scarf, burnt and covered in dust. Sans wept for hours on end, unable to control his situation, and unable to reset back to when it was before.
Two weeks later, he began to notice changes in his emotions and environment. Glitches became more noticeable, and things that weren’t there before appeared in different areas, but what worried him the most was his soul. He didn’t have one. When Sans was defeated, Nightmare stole his soul for unknown reasons, and with the help of a new ability known as “DISTORT”, he slowly began to turn the world into code, then would become nonexistent in the next few months.
2 months passed, and things got worse…
Snowdin Forest became a distorted grave, WaterFall was no longer the peaceful place it once was, glitchy bones, buffering water, and noticeable static on the walls.
LavaLands and New home weren’t any better either, where the barrier once was, is now a visible anti-void, and all throughout LavaLands is chaos, parts and pieces of the Core are stuck in the ground and lava, the Alphys’ lab is demolished.
As for Sans, he no longer is attached to his emotions. They’re all gone, he can’t even feel pain anymore or use his magic.
He wanders from place to place, knowing nothing can be done. That was until, he discovered something that would change everything. An entrance that lead to a world filled with life and light, and in the middle of it was a lake and a tree.
There he discovered a vortex that has the ability to take any soul from either human or monster, and can use both emotions, but also magic.
After fusing with the vortex, he left the world and went to what was left of Snowdin, there meeting someone who came to finish the job. Dust!Sans, arrived and waiting for him, Sans had a clear memory of the murderer in front of him and what happened before he blacked out.
Dust leaped and nearly struck him with a rusty knife, but in a flash Sans was right behind him. After fusing with the vortex, he gained a small piece of magic, and decided to use as an advantage. Dust went all out in trying to kill him, but Sans was too fast and showed no signs of exhaustion, he teleported once more, and struck Dust on the back with a swift kick, and crashing to the ground.
Dust was weary, and could barely move. Sans slowly walked towards him, eyes glowing brightly, and his chest glowing, the vortex appeared, and wrapped around Dust and his soul. The last thing he heard from Sans was
“You really are an idiot, Dust.”
He absorbed his soul, and Dust quickly vanished, now fused with Sans, he gained his magic, lvl and stats, including emotions.
After the fight, Sans began to make a plan of what he would do when they return to his world.

Facts:
.Sans’ nickname is Broken, and usually is also called Fade
.Broken has no HP, and once he loses all HP from the soul he absorbs, he returns back to his original state, including when the soul starts fading away.
.Because of the limited time he was with any soul, he figured a way on how to keep most of the magic inside his body by using the vortex to store it and spread all around his body.
.He feels no pain, even if he loses blood, he would still live
.His gaster blasters usually spawn with no jaw bone, so instead uses for shields or gives them a torso and hands.
