So first before I get into the update, just wanna say it's pretty epic we've hit 200 followers already before the full game is released. Thanks A LOT! Your patience will be rewarded soon enough. We are still pretty hard at work developing, and the end of the night 4 development draws ever closer. It's absolutely packed with content so I hope you guys will enjoy it! I uploaded some screenshots of the sewer area, and once Axel is ready, we'll upload a few of a very important story area =)
So just like the last devlog I posted, I'll be doing it in the form of a changelog. This is to help you guys understand exactly what's being done, so with that being said, let's get started.
CHANGELOG:
Sewer Section - Done
Added a few more bosses to the Fazgames - Done
Added a new nighttime beach area to Varius City - Done
Added an underground ruins area before the last boss of the Varius City Section - Done
MORE Skill rebalances - Done
ACTUALLY made a proper title screen - Done
Added several QOL options like the ability to reload your save from the gameover screen instead of having to restart - Done
Added volume, autosaving, and screen sizes toggling - Done (god help us this game has so many scripts i think it's running on drugs now)
Experimenting with lighting scripts - In progress
Placed a large amount of story scenes in previous nights and an archive room - Done
Adding debug room - maybe, in progress
Added a way for the player to increase their max level cap - Done
Ennard's "happy place" - In progress
Added upgraded trinkets. Essentially these act like better trinkets compared to old ones. For example, Gold Dust increases critical rate by 5%. An upgraded version would increase it by 12% instead. These will only be purchasable late into the game, however - Done
Added more battle animations - Done
Reducing the game's filesize so that it isn't like 2 GB - In progress
Added ways in order for certain elements that were previously inaccessible to finally become accessible to players - Done
Bug Testing - The sewers have already gone through the bugtesting phase, however, since Varius City has gotten more content since the last devlog, we'll need to play through it again. - In progress
Added more party members in specific areas of the game - In progress
Added colors to Boss names - Done
I think that about covers it all for the moment, these changes aren't super significant but they'll really improve the overall tone of the game and places a large focus on story as well as gameplay aspects.
