honestly? i think they’re a lot more than the good ol “cop x criminal” dynamic .

imagine this: stalkers tango by autoheart but mutual.

the whole “stalker” theme for the song can be applied to both sides, both with different meanings of stalker and such

i think baton’s stalker thing in the song is kinda how cops “stalk” criminals and such, getting any sort of evidence for their crimes/whereabouts and stuff. Metaphor shit or whatever

i think scythe’s part would be obvious . Criminals stalking people . Yada yada . BUT it’s moreso how some criminals stalk the police/cops themselves, like how in some media the criminals taunt the police by leaving their own clues that could possibly lead to nothing in the end (but instead of stalking the cops to taunt them it’s just so she can see that pretty cop girl again /hj)

their dynamic is sort of love-hate aswell since . Baton of course doesn’t want some criminal charming her (she has been, infact, already charmed by her)

But yeah ! the crush/love is very much mutual between the both of them ! 👍 baton just barely shows it since she doesn’t want to get fired + w. Who wants to know you’re in love with a criminal???? Nobody. Probably! (i like to believe the only people that actually Know about this whole “baton-liking-scythe-and-scythe-liking-baton” thing is zuka, broker, and Possibly hyperlaser . Idk!)

anyway yeah that can be their whole dynamic or whatever .

OK NOW THEIR RELATIONSHIP YAYYYYYYY

it’s? kind of in the air honestly? they aren’t exactly together and aren’t exactly not together . It’s a situationship type beat if you get what i’m saying

they’ve canonically kissed like. Twice. Thrice? So like. Idk.

if baton Does give in and finally confesses to scythe that she Actually likes her (as if it wasn’t obvious already), it’d 100% be kept a secret on baton’s side (unless the others find out . Hopefully not) and their cop and criminal dynamic would turn into more of a performance to not cause suspicion (they kiss in secret shhhhhhhh)

i also like to think scythe constantly sends baton letters. baton pretends to throw them out, but she never ends up doing it, something about scythe sending her letters just … makes her feel happy <:) so that can add onto their relationship thing . I guess!

baton towards scythe - she sees scythe as a nuisance, and sometimes she just downright wants her dead! she just Wishes scythe could just . BE IN JAIL ALREADY !!! but then there’s just. Something about her that just … makes baton feel fuzzy inside . And she HHHHHATESSSSSS that with a BURNING PASSION !!!!!!! She doesn’t want to be in love with a criminal that’s Very Much Wanted By The Police Force She’s In !!!!!!!!! But……….alas. Watching shows with very pretty evil women fucked up her taste in demons when she was a teen……. either way, she does have a crush on scythe, and i don’t think that’ll be changing anytime soon

scythe towards baton - honestly? i think she actually found baton a bit cute when they first met. and that feeling was probably heightened once she possibly figured out that baton. Did infact. Like her . like if you were apart of the cult she and broker were in you probably couldn’t even breathe without hearing stuff about “that cutesy lass” and “that adorable officer” from scythe . she does very much like baton back, and is actually really flattered at how much she actually likes her. sure, people have probably had a crush on her before, but how could she turn down a cutesy shark gal that’s Also apart of the police force that’s hunting you down ?

so yeah! Both do infact really really like eachother !
