hi im back

it's been ages since ive actually interacted with the wider gamejolt community so i thought i should give an explanation of why ive started fresh, what's been happening in the last year and what im gonna do now

so as you'll probably know, about a year ago i said i was going to limit the amount of time i was gonna spend on gamejolt going forward. i was paying attention to quite a few negative corners of the website at the time and it (combined with gamejolt's own fair share of questionable actions) caused me to have a really cynical view on the website as a whole. it was really bumming me out and i just wanted out. im not going to make the mistakes i made again with this account, i really don't need that level of negativity in my life anymore

now don't get me wrong i do still fucking hate this website with every fiber of my being, but in time ive come to notice that there'll pretty much always be negativity everywhere i go on the internet so i might as well just stick around only for the parts that make me happy. despite all the bad things i have to say about it gamejolt still has one of the most creative communities ive seen on the internet and that's an aspect of this website ive really missed.

if you've been following my bluesky (which if youre seeing this post you most likely are but yknow) you'll know that ive pretty much abandoned scratch completely in favor of godot, since i figured learning an actual game engine is important for actually being taken seriously as a game developer. this does mean that basically any scratch projects i was actively working on before is now cancelled though, sorry. but instead im currently in the process of making TWO different games which im pretty excited to be posting about soon.

so that's about it. sorry if this post is a bit all over the place, i didn't really have tons of time to think too much about what to say. i don't know if i'll get nearly as much traction this time but that doesn't really matter to me anyways. either way, it's pretty good to be fully back

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔
