I did NOT quite abandon the project. Mudash is still something I plan to work in. I just feel like I won't be having the time in the moment, and I also kinda changed a lot in the way I like making games. I changed to Godot, but Mudash will still be a GameMaker Studio 2 game, so I won't be remaking it in Godot, since I really liked working on Mudash in GameMaker.
Another thing is that the code is really, really, REEEEEALLY messy. I do want to give it another look and polish it, because as it is, it's kinda slow? (In my girlfriend's PC at least... which... isn't that powerful)
I also started working with 3D, and I'm really proud of the things I'm making. I use Blockbench, because it's easy and I can do a lot of things in a lowpoly style, which is my favorite 3D artstyle.
I do think of start using blender tho, we'll see.
Anyways, I started thinking about using magic to turn 3D models into 2D Sprites, I already did that and It's kinda exciting to see a 3D thing in a 2D worldDLKASJD So I'm thinking about making at least the main loop of Mudash entirely in 3D, but the more RPGesque part of the game I'll maintain in my 2D pixelart!
Buuut... this year is going to be hard for me. I just got out of school and I really need to find a job and study for college... so I'll be out of time to work in personal projects for a while. But... maybe in the future I'll resume working on the game. I really hope I do.
