“How I made the graphics in Hidden in Plain Sight” video

Last week, we made a live stream about how to create the graphics for Hidden in Plain Sight. For those who missed it, the video is available as a Twitch.tv Highlight right now!

For those with extensive Unity knowledge might actually be surprised at how little programming is involved in the video. In truth, the effect was achieved using a simple combination of multiple cameras, layers, render textures, and UI Masks. We only had to create one new shader: a slightly modified default Sprite shader with only one line changed.

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Just a Pico sprite

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
